Pause = Power – Hey friends, it’s Angel with another episode of Finish Strong Friday, and this week I want to offer a simple but powerful reminder:
Never underestimate the power of the pause.

Pause = Power

This thought came from my friend Suzie of The Suzie Method, who shared a story this week about a client who experienced a breakthrough—not from doing more, but from stopping long enough to see clearly.

And it got me thinking:
💡 How often do we rush through the noise without giving ourselves space to reflect?
💡 What would change if we gave ourselves permission to pause?

The Strategic Pause

This week, I felt that tension.
Between task lists, meetings, holiday prep, and client strategy sessions, it’s easy to stay in go-mode.

But I made a decision:
I paused.

✅ I paused to review client strategies
✅ I paused to reflect on what’s working (and what isn’t)
✅ I paused to look at my own calendar and ask: Am I being intentional with my time?

And here’s what surprised me:
Some of the things I was worried about –
They worked themselves out—because I didn’t react right away.
I gave space for solutions to surface.

That’s the power of the pause.

Why Pausing Matters in Business (and Life)

In leadership, we often think power comes from action.
But sometimes, it comes from restraint.

From stopping long enough to:

• See the bigger picture
• Regain emotional clarity
• Re-center your strategy
• Avoid unnecessary rework

The pause isn’t passive.
It’s a strategic reset.

And in a week where we pause as a nation to remember those who served and sacrificed, it’s also a powerful reminder to pause in our own lives, with intention and purpose.

🛑 Look at your calendar

Ask:
What’s really necessary?
What can wait?
What might resolve itself—if I step back instead of step in?
