Is Pain Preparing You for Progress

Is Pain Preparing You for Progress – Hey friends, it’s Angel with another episode of Finish Strong Friday, and this week’s encouragement is short but important:

Are we looking at pain as progress?

As I review my calendar, goals, and to-do lists each week, I’m reminded that not everything goes as planned. There are wins—and then there are the tough spots. The ones that don’t meet expectations, feel heavy, or just plain sting.

But here’s the pattern I’ve seen over and over:
Those hard seasons often lead to our biggest breakthroughs.
It’s in those moments of resistance that the growth begins.

🎬 “Out of our pain come the things that make us better.”
– Paraphrased from The Breakfast Club (1985)

Whether it’s a missed goal, a delayed launch, or a hard leadership moment—it might just be setting you up for your next season of clarity, strength, and progress.

Your Finish Strong Friday Challenge

As you look back on your week or your quarter:
🔹 What didn’t go as planned?
🔹 Where did you feel the pinch or pressure?
🔹 Could that pain be pointing to your next breakthrough?

Pain doesn’t mean failure. It often means growth is coming.

So take a breath, regroup, and keep moving forward.
You’re not behind—you’re being prepared.
